About Me

My name is Gina Gresch and I’m a dog lover. I’m passionate about dogs and would do anything for them. If my dog needed a kidney,
I would give it to him without hesitation.

Happy Tails Chase Place is a second business which came out of my main business, Happy Tails To You Dog Care, which was born out of a series of events (things will come full circle, I promise) which included my parents passing away, my “foster failure” Mort crossing the rainbow bridge and being burnt out in my former career working in local government. It was a turning point for me and I decided to pursue my passion for dogs.

My parents, Gary & Carol Gresch owned and operated a dog and cat boarding kennel in the Town of Vernon in SE Waukesha County named “Pek-In-Kennels”. They did this for 19 years and my dad even wrote a book about it! (I have a couple hundred of them so if you'd like to buy one for $8 includes postage, email me and I'll send you one. All proceeds go to the Rescue Gang.

My dad was an elected Town Board member in Vernon and when it came time to get a job for Senior Year Co-Op Program, he called the Town Clerk and asked, “Gina needs a job, what do you have for her to do down there at Town Hall?”

23 years, 77 elections, (6 of those were Presidential), 5 recounts and 1 recall later, I’m retiring from the career I’ve had my entire adult life.

Both of my parents passed away within 10 months of each other and Mort crossed the Rainbow Bridge just shy of a year after my mom passed.

2020 – 2022 were rough. I made it through and came out a different person. I finally came to realization that without my dad here, I didn’t want to be a municipal clerk anymore. He was my go-to for that. I finally get to do my own thing and take care of me.
